Trojan.Spambot.AZ is a Trojan which deletes wscsvc (Security Center service which displays notifications about the firewall and antivirus software installed), wuauserv (Auto Update Service) and other such important system files. It also deletes the registry keys in order to render the antivirus ineffective. This is probably one of the reasons why this virus comes out as a real nuisance. It is mostly used to send spam mail to the mail server chosen by the Trojan. It fools the system to believe that the user has allowed it to connect to the various internet addresses. It gathers information from the infected system and passes it to on to a specific server. Trojan.Spambot.AZ has the ability to disable, delete and deny services essential for the system security; this virus is deemed highly dangerous as it exposes the system to be attacked by other malware in addition to it. It usually is known to attack windows operating systems by exploiting loopholes and vulnerability in their design.
